I did mostly manual arts stuff at school. There were really only two reasons: I liked lathes (I still do actually: rotational symmetry rocks!) and I had a disease (is disease the right word for "inherited defect"?) so my goal was to work in a factory where I could hide from people. After school I had surgery and got it fixed and (long story short) got fascinated with other things and wound up at uni. Now I wish I'd done maths and physics. Well, at school I would've goofed off and argued until I failed but I wish I knew that stuff. Now I'm trying to learn it.

At least this way I'm not academically retarded, stupid and evil. Consequently I love Gene Ray, he's my favourite crack pot. I do agree with some of his assertions regarding education and "word crimes" - like "inherited defect" - but I'm not aligned with him, I swear!

I tried rotating it, and because of the shadows and reflections it looks strange to my eye.
