My friend Steven asked me along to test drive the BMW120i hatch, as he is writing a review for a small association magazine. It's not a bad little car (I got to drive it home), plenty of grunt, but a bit on the small side for me and my long legs ;) Great for short girls who need to zip around town to do the shopping, although getting a pram in the boot would be a struggle.

Taken this morning down at my fav beach at Pt Willunga, South Australia
I took a full body shot with Steven's D70, and will post this up when he sends it to me...it's quite amusing :)

Enjoy full view :)

yeah I have the same "problem" - proportionately long legs, good for rowing they tell me
you'd definitely have trouble with this car then...I had the driver's seat all the way back, and it has a weird elevation so it tips your hips back to give you more room
you'll just have to get a bigger car when you drive around Europe...:D

tips your hips back eh...sounds like Germans are playing a bit of funny business on its drivers, trying to increase the sexual nature of its vehicles maybe...

mind you in that cramped rear seat it could prove difficult, especially with such long legs...

hehehe yeees, very odd. My friend Tim was sitting in the back behind me, he's about my height, maybe a bit taller, and he seemed OK...but then if the circulation was being cut off to his lower limbs by my seat he was keeping quiet ;)

he had probably passed out from a lack of bloodflow.....

so was it alright to drive, I understand they are a decent handling little number, although it would need more than a 2.0L 4 pot to get some real driving pleasure from it...

yeah the handling was good...hehehe I "accidentally" accelerated into a dip whilst crossing a main road....hahaha good suspension.
My friend and his bro-in-law took it up the freeway yesterday, and beat the crap out of it (mental note, do not buy demos from that dealer if Steven has had it for the weekend!). Because it's so small 2L is quite adequate...we overtook some decent cars on the way to the beach. Low centre of gravity...all that stuff
Oooh and it's got an aux plug so you can plug your iPod into the stereo...and bluetooth to pair your phone...if you so wish. Tim brought his along to test it...nice!

I was thinking about car-shots the other day, when the sun is shining constantly here now...but I have no car myself...:D
:iconargocat8:

I hope so too :) It's a fantastic shot!

Very nice this as well! Clean composition letting the eye enjoy the lines of the car. Still don't like that safety barrier though. ;)
